Uniform Hood Lace was established around 1915 to serve the emerging automobile industry and we’ve been at it ever since. We started out in a barn, making anti-squeak materials from asphalt impregnated cotton webbings. UHL’s products included hood lacing, body cushion, fuel tank strap lining, and fender welts.
We’ve seen a lot in our 100 years, and survived a lot of changes in the automobile industry, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to our customers. Today, UHL is one of the oldest companies in Indiana. We still provide hood lacing for the restoration of antique cars, as well as for a few special commercial applications.
